Irene is an actor, writer and director based in Yorkshire. Current projects include delivering scriptwriting workshops for The Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond, North Yorkshire; work-shopping her stage adaptation of JB Priestley’s ‘Uncle Phil on TV’ for an October premiere at Bradford Cathedral; developing several short film scripts and acting in several short films and theatre pieces.

She has supported many new writing ventures across Yorkshire and with watson:theatre (which she founded) toured lesser-known JB Priestley plays around the region and at Ilkley Literature Festival and Saltaire Festival. Irene is also co-founder of Actors’ Community Theatre and GRAFT.

In her spare time she’s a freelance creative arts facilitator working with a number of creative and educational organisations across the region to design and deliver storytelling, heritage, cultural and intergenerational projects

Irene is currently Marketing Manager for Otley Courthouse an arts and resource centre in Otley; trustee of FABRIC (arts development agency, Bradford); member of the Artspace committee, Bradford Cathedral and Board member of Saltaire Inspired.
